BLACK MIRROR
Black Mirror is a poetic short film that discusses the challenges people with gender dysphoria face when in private and in public spaces. The feeling of your body not being yours, the restless nights stressing about how people will perceive you, the struggles with accessing gender affirming healthcare.
Primarily made by two transgender people (Jacob being one), Black Mirror takes inspiration from their own lives as well as experiences with trying to access gender affirming healthcare.
Made in the space of two weeks, the team worked hard to convey a realistic depiction of gender dysphoria to inform others about the topic.
This film was shown at The Showroom Cinema as part of an LGBTQ+ film festival.
